My inspiration for training stemmed from a competitive background in basketball, football, and track & field as a youth. After accomplishing various achievements in track, including Outstanding Young Pacer and All-County/All State Team success, I joined the military, where soon after I discovered my love for boxing. During my boxing career of 70 plus amateur bouts, I was a four time Georgia Golden Gloves Champion 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006. In 2005. I also won the Southern Golden Gloves title along with best fight of the tournament and turned professional 2007.
My successes in sports and boxing opened up the door to opportunities to train individuals and community organizations until the demand became so large that Wright Way Fitness came bursting forth!. My group instruction expanded by hosting fitness boot camps for various companies in Columbus, Georgia (Imagination Too Daycare @ Aflac, The Hughston Clinic & Jack Hughston Hospital, Crosspointe Church, and St. Francis Hospital) as well as training and managing several televised boxing fights that appeared on Unimas, ESPN, and the undercard of Showtime.
As a mentor for Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Columbus Georgia, I used my same passion for fitness and seeing people at their best to pour into the youth of Columbus, humbly receiving the Big Brother of the Year award in 2008.
I enjoy pushing my clients to the best of their ability but always within reason. As a husband, father, and business owner, I realize that finding time to work out is not always easy but is definitely necessary. My job is to help my clients make a commitment to fitness and give them the education, motivation and accountability needed to promote a healthy lifestyle that will have a positive and life changing effect. My goal is to enhance the wellbeing of my clients by empowering them with the knowledge, skills and guidance needed to assist and inspire them on their journey to a healthier life.
My philosophy focuses on continual life-long learning as I work towards increasing my expertise as your personal trainer. Together, we will transform your quality of life through vigorous yet fun and dynamic workouts. Remember, “Think it, Speak it, Do it and Be it.” Your dreams are within reach.
